This sauce works very well with "Pasta" also. It is fairly easy to make at home. This deep red sauce has a powerful flavor with delicious taste. Lets start step by step basic red Tomato pizza sauce recipe.
Ingredients :
Tomato Puree - 3 nos ( roughly chopped tomatoes )
Finely minced Garlic - 4 nos
Oregano - 1 tbsp
Chopped Basil Leaves - 1 tbsp (If you don't have basil at home, you can use 1 tbsp of fresh chopped coriander leaves)
Tomato Sauce - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Black Pepper
The above ingredients is for 4-5 medium sized pizza, you can increase the quantity of ingredients as per as your requirement.
Tomato Puree
*Note : I did not puree the tomatoes till smooth. kept a few bits of tomatoes pieces.
1. Heat oil in a kadai/pan, add finely chopped garlic and saute for 10-12 seconds on a low flame.
2. Then add the tomato puree and saute for 4-5 minutes.
5. Otherwise store the sauce in a bowl or a small jar in the refrigerator. Keeps good for 3-4 days.
